Friends re-united! Italian schools’ exchange students are back in Bangor Academy.

Following our trip to Lombardy, Italy in September to trace some of the Via Columbani, our exchange school friends from Brescia and Bobbio are back in Bangor touring all the local St. Columbanus heritage sites connected to the famous pilgrim.

In addition, 40 students and their teachers have joined lessons at the Academy, met the Mayor at Bangor Castle, toured Bangor Museum, enjoyed Irish Music at Bangor Courthouse not to mention hitting some of the top tourist spots in the Ards Penninsula, Belfast and the Causeway Coast.
They have even made the local paper! Check out pg 16 of this week’s Spectator.
