Bangor to Dublin to Salem – a literary day trip to remember!

Literature students were gripped by the tension and horror of the Gaiety’s production of Arthur Miller’s terrifying political parable, ‘The Crucible’. Following pit stops in Trinity and Grafton Street, it was a dash for curtain up at Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre for the main event.

Those of an older vintage loved Andrew McCarthy in role as the judge, Danforth, a far cry from his ‘Pretty in Pink’ days! Year 13 pupil Sophie’s review says it all,

“That was the best thing I have ever seen and I want to go straight back to watch it again.”

Mrs Ferguson was also impressed,

“Completely true to the text. Sparsely produced, tightly acted…a triumph.”
