Wow! This is wonderful and well-deserved success for Year 12 footballer Cameron. The left-back, who has played for Linfield and Northern Ireland, signed for a 2 year full-time U18 scholarship with Charlton Athletic this week. Cameron is one of only 9 players chosen for The Valley’s football development programme.
Charlton Athletic said:
“Cameron joined the club this summer following a successful trial period, coming off the back of an impressive season with Linfield U21s, where he helped secure domestic cup honours with the Harry Cavan Youth Cup, having previously represented Glentoran. “A Northern Ireland youth international, the left-back combines a strong physical presence with excellent athleticism, allowing him to influence both ends of the pitch, with a quality final ball to trouble.”
